Privacy Policy

The short version: your photos never leave your browser. Conversion happens on your own device, this site has no upload endpoint, and no account exists to leak.

Photos and files

HeicJet converts images entirely in your browser using a local decoding engine. Files you drop are read into the page’s memory, converted, and offered back to you as downloads. They are never transmitted to a server, never stored by us, and disappear when you close the tab. We could not access your files even if we wanted to — there is nowhere to send them.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

This site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited and whether the converter is used. Google Analytics collects page views, approximate location (country/city level from your IP address), device and browser type. IP addresses are anonymized before storage (anonymize_ip is enabled).

We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not receive data that identifies you personally. Analytics cookies set by Google are covered byGoogle’s own policies.

Conversion events: when a photo finishes converting, an anonymous event namedconvert_done may be recorded in Google Analytics with the number of files and the output format. It contains no file names, no content and no identifiers.

Cookies

This site itself sets no cookies. The only cookies present come from Google Analytics when enabled; clearing them in your browser removes them entirely.

Advertising

If advertising (Google AdSense) is enabled in the future, it will load Google’s ad scripts, which use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. This site has no other advertising partners.

Children

This is a general-audience utility site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, which by definition includes children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it.
